THE OPPORTUNITY
This isn't a role for someone who wants to coast on an existing book of business. This is for the hunter — the relationship-builder — who gets fired up by opening new accounts, presenting solutions, and writing orders.
You'll be the face of T&G; in the market, connecting Australian businesses with the local expertise, quality craftsmanship, and end-to-end service that sets us apart from the rest. You'll work with customers who genuinely value what 'made right, made here' means — and you'll show them exactly why T&G; is the partner they've been looking for.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Identify, target and win new customers across key industries who value quality Australian manufacturing
Own the entire customer journey — from initial conversation through to concept, estimation, order and delivery
Build genuine, lasting relationships that keep customers coming back and referring others
Present T&G;'s full-service capability with confidence — cut, bend, fold, weld, treat, paint, assemble, package and deliver
Collaborate with our internal team to ensure every customer experience exceeds expectations
Identify growth opportunities within your customer base and maximise the value of each relationship
Represent T&G;'s values: quality, integrity, and the pride of Australian expertise

Proven success in B2B business development or technical sales — you have the results to prove it
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction or industrial sectors (sheetmetal or metal fabrication a strong bonus)
A consultative sales approach — you listen first, then solve
Exceptional communication skills — you can talk to a trades manager or a CEO with equal confidence
A genuine passion for building long-term customer relationships, not just closing transactions
Self-motivation and discipline — you manage your pipeline, your time, and your results
A drive to write orders and grow revenue — you measure your own success
