Experienced Machine Operator needed for a leading sheet metal fabrication business in Richlands, Brisbane. Operate laser cutters, press brakes and purlin machines. Full-time, immediate start, competitive hourly rate.

About the role

H People has partnered with an established sheet metal fabrication company in Richlands to find a reliable Machine Operator. You'll run and maintain advanced machinery, working from engineering drawings to produce precision sheet metal products. It's a hands-on role in a supportive team with up-to-date equipment and genuine scope to build your skills.

What you'll be doing
Operating sheet metal machinery including laser cutters, press brakes and purlin machines
Setting up machines to engineering drawings and job specifications
Carrying out routine maintenance to keep machines running at their best
Meeting production targets and deadlines alongside the team
Running quality checks so finished products meet spec




Following safety procedures and keeping a clean, organised work area

What you'll need
Proven experience as a Machine Operator in sheet metal fabrication
Confidence reading engineering drawings and job specifications
Familiarity with laser cutters, press brakes, purlin machines and general fabrication tools
Strong attention to detail and a focus on precision
Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety
Ability to work in a quick-paced production workplace
Full Australian working rights (citizen or permanent resident)
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test

A sheet metal trade qualification is a bonus but not essential.
