Job Description
Washing and sanitising dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
Operating commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, storage areas and back-of-house areas
Assisting with basic food preparation when required
Removing rubbish and maintaining waste disposal and recycling areas
Receiving, storing and organising kitchen supplies
Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
Supporting chefs and the wider Kitchen team during busy service periods
Ensuring cleaning chemicals and equipment are used and stored safely

Qualifications
Previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand in a hotel, restaurant or similarly quick-paced environment
Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety and cleaning procedures
Ability to work efficiently and remain organised during busy service periods
Solid attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness




Positive attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to safely perform manual handling duties and stand for extended periods
Availability to work a flexible rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
