We're seeking motivated and capable Emergency Services Officers to join our team supporting Queensland's coal mining industry. Working alongside experienced Advanced Care Paramedics and fellow ESOs, you'll play a vital role in protecting people, responding to emergencies, and maintaining site emergency preparedness.

About the Role
As an Emergency Services Officer, you'll be responsible for providing emergency response and rescue capability across operational mine sites while supporting our Advanced Care Paramedics in the delivery of pre-hospital emergency care.
No two shifts are the same. You could be responding to a medical emergency, fire or rescue incident, maintaining specialised emergency equipment, conducting site compliance activities, or assisting with emergency preparedness and training.
Your responsibilities will include:
Responding to fire, rescue and medical emergencies
Providing emergency rescue support and assisting Advanced Care Paramedics during patient care
Operating and maintaining emergency response vehicles and specialised rescue equipment
Conducting emergency response preparedness activities and equipment inspections
Liaising with site personnel and external medical providers to support effective patient outcomes
Conducting workplace drug and alcohol testing
Supporting site inductions and emergency training
Contributing to emergency planning, safety initiatives and continuous improvement programs
Completing operational reports and emergency services administration
What You'll Bring
Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue
Current LVR, CPR, Advanced First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation qualifications
Drug and Alcohol Testing Certification
Standard 11
Coal Board Medical (Rescue), or the ability to obtain
Previous experience in a mining Emergency Services Officer role or within a State or Territory Fire Service
Highly Regarded
Strong communication and decision-making skills
The ability to remain calm and decisive during emergency situations
A high level of personal fitness and professionalism
The ability to work independently while contributing to a close-knit emergency response team
