Quarry Excavator Operator
About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Quarry Excavator Operator to join a well-established quarry operation based in Lithgow.
This is an ongoing Monday to Friday opportunity with a view to permanent employment for the right candidate. You will be responsible for operating heavy mobile plant in a busy quarry environment, supporting the safe and efficient movement, processing and supply of quarry materials for major civil, infrastructure and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Operate excavators safely and efficiently within a quarry production environment
Load dump trucks and feed crushing and screening operations
Perform material extraction, handling and stockpile management
Complete daily pre-start checks and report any equipment issues
Operate mobile plant in line with site safety and production requirements
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping around the work area
Follow all workplace health, safety and environmental procedures
Work closely with supervisors and other plant operators to achieve daily targets
Assist with general quarry operations as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience operating excavators within a quarry, mining or heavy civil environment
Experience operating large excavators (30T+ preferred)
Strong understanding of quarry operations and mobile plant safety
Current Driver Licence
White Card
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Solid commitment to workplace health and safety
Reliable transport and availability to work Monday to Friday
What’s On Offer
$48 - $52 per hour + Super (based on experience)
