About the role
This is a genuine step-up opportunity for someone who's currently doing the hard yards on a warehouse or distribution floor — as a storeperson, picker/packer, forklift operator, or dispatch hand — and is ready to step up into running their own site day-to-day.
You'll be solely responsible for our Caboolture warehouse: all incoming and outgoing goods, stock control, and facility management for our Queensland resellers. There's no team to supervise here — this is a hands-on, single-person operation where you do the physical work yourself, every day, reporting into the National Operations Manager and supported by our NSW head office. You'll run the site day-to-day and be the one making it happen on the ground, working within our established systems, processes and KPIs. This role involves constant, repetitive heavy lifting (up to 30kg) for the majority of every shift. The QLD branch also houses our QLD sales team, and the site is CCTV monitored from head office as part of our modern, multi-site network.
Key responsibilities
Receive, unpack, and QC-check container goods from the port
Manage dispatch to Queensland resellers and transship goods to other warehouses as needed
Maintain inventory records and stock levels
Liaise with National Sales/Operations Managers,



logistics providers, and resellers
Ensure warehouse health and safety compliance
Resolve dispatch and quality issues promptly
Personally perform all physical warehouse tasks on-site, unassisted — lifting, loading, wrapping, forklift and order-picker operation, every shift
What we're looking for
You don't need to already have "Manager" in your title. You need to be doing the hard physical work on a warehouse floor right now, hungry to prove you can run the whole show yourself, and ready for the step up in responsibility, title and pay that comes with it.
Currently hands-on in a warehouse, distribution centre, or similar physical role — not desk-based
Physically fit and able, genuinely comfortable with extensive, constant manual lifting and handling of rural fencing hardware weighing up to 30kg, all day, every day
Comfortable performing 100% of on-site physical tasks unassisted, with no one else on-site to share the load
Confident operating and maintaining all on-site equipment — forklifts, order pickers, pallet wrappers, etc.
IT competency, including Net Stock and Excel, and MYOB (Smart Freight experience a plus)
A track record of reliability and ownership — someone we can trust to run the site without needing to be chased
A collaborative team player who works well with head office, national department managers and QLD sales staff
Comfortable in a high-accountability workplace running on KPIs, with all key metrics tracked and visible on national livestream dashboards
