About Cornick
Cornick is an established Australian-owned group operating across technology distribution, product development and modular building solutions.
Our businesses include RhinoCo Technology, a supplier of electronic security, CCTV and networking products, and Home Technology Club, which supplies modular homes and portable building solutions.
We are seeking an experienced Procurement & Supply Manager to take ownership of purchasing, supplier management, international sourcing and inventory planning across the group.
This is a practical, hands‐on role based full‐time at our Mulgrave office. You will work directly with our suppliers and internal teams to ensure products and components are sourced commercially, meet requirements and arrive when needed.
Professional Mandarin and English fluency is essential due to regular communication and negotiation with suppliers in China.
About the role
Reporting to the directors, you will manage purchasing and procurement across both established product ranges and project-based requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:




Managing and developing relationships with manufacturers and suppliers in China and Australia.
Negotiating pricing, payment terms, minimum order quantities, lead times, quality requirements and delivery arrangements.
Planning purchasing requirements using stock levels, sales demand, project schedules, supplier lead times and forward requirements.
Tracking purchase orders, production progress, shipments and expected arrival dates.
Working with product, technical, warehouse and project teams to confirm specifications and purchasing priorities.
Identifying supply risks, resolving supplier issues and improving procurement and inventory processes.
The position covers a varied range of products and components. These include electronic and networking products, manufactured goods, building components, appliances, fixtures and other items used within our businesses.
About you
You will be commercially capable, highly organised and comfortable taking personal responsibility for procurement outcomes.
To succeed in the role, you will need:
Professional written and spoken Mandarin and English.
Substantial experience in purchasing, procurement, supply planning or international sourcing.




Demonstrated experience sourcing manufactured products or components from China.
Strong supplier negotiation and relationship‐management skills.
Experience with inventory planning, international freight, import documentation and landed‐cost calculations.
Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP, MRP, purchasing or inventory‐management systems.
Experience within electronics, electrical products, technology distribution, construction products, modular buildings or manufacturing will be highly regarded.
You should be able to interpret product specifications, drawings, bills of materials or other technical information. You do not need to be an engineer, but you must be comfortable asking detailed questions and ensuring suppliers understand what is required.
We are looking for someone who follows issues through to resolution, communicates problems early and can balance product availability, cost, quality and inventory investment.
