Redhill Hospitality is seeking an experienced Hotel Manager to join our team in Canberra. This is a full time position based at our property in Canberra. As Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operations, management and profitability of the hotel. You will lead a diverse team, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and drive the strategic vision of the property whilst maintaining the highest standards of service and operational excellence.
What you'll be doing
Overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance departments
Managing budgets, financial forecasting and revenue optimisation to ensure profitability and targets are met
Leading, motivating and developing a diverse team of staff, fostering a positive workplace culture and providing training and support
Ensuring guest satisfaction through the implementation of high service standards and responding to guest feedback and complaints professionally
Maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, employment law and company policies
Managing vendor relationships to ensure value for money and quality of services
Implementing marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to increase occupancy rates and revenue
Conducting regular property inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the hotel meets brand standards
Liaising with corporate clients, travel agents and other stakeholders to build and maintain relationships
Reporting on performance metrics and key performance indicators to senior management




What we're looking for
Proven management experience of at least 5 years in a hotel or hospitality establishment of similar size and complexity
Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management, P&L; responsibility and revenue optimisation
Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
Outstanding customer service orientation and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
Knowledge of hotel management systems and property management software
Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organisation
Problem-solving ability and resilience in a fast-paced, energetic environment
Relevant hospitality or hotel management qualifications or certifications (such as a Diploma in Hotel Management)
Experience with health and safety compliance and employment relations a distinct advantage
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
