Coast Modular is a growing modular home construction company based in Tweed Heads South. The majority of our builds are constructed in our own factory before being transported and installed on site across Northern NSW and Southeast Queensland. We're a creative, fast-growing business, and we're looking for the right person to grow with us.
About the Role
We need a Leading Hand who can genuinely take charge — someone who can push a team, keep momentum going in the factory, and lead site preparation and installation once builds head out to their final location. We're after a hardworking, eager individual with a solution-based mindset who takes ownership of problems and gets things sorted rather than waiting to be told what to do.
Key Responsibilities
Have experience in leading and driving a team of tradespeople and apprentices through daily production in our Tweed Heads factory
Supervise site preparation and on-site installation of modular builds
Keep the team accountable and productive, maintaining pace and quality
Read and work from plans and specifications
Identify and solve problems on the spot, factory or site
Ensure work meets quality standards and building codes
Liaise with the Construction Manager and office team on job progress
Maintain a secure work setting and ensure WHS compliance
Work overtime when required to meet factory and site scheduling demands
What You'll Need
Proven experience leading a team of trades in residential construction
Solid all-round building knowledge and trade background
A hardworking, hands-on attitude with the drive to push a team and get results
A solution‑based mindset — someone who solves problems, not just flags them
Flexibility to work overtime as scheduling demands require
Current White Card and relevant licences/tickets
A valid driver's licence
Genuine interest in growing long‑term with an expanding company
Highly Regarded
Experience working with a modular building company

$45–$55 per hour (neg) depending on experience
