Automotion is seeking an experienced
Automotive Mechanic
to join our team in Enoggera, QLD. This is a
full-time position
with no weekend work where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to the highest standards. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that every vehicle that leaves our workshop is safe, reliable, and performing optimally. This role is essential to delivering exceptional service to our clients and maintaining Automotion's reputation for excellence in the automotive industry. Automotion specialises in classic, sports and European vehicles such as Lotus, Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Audi, Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz and BMW.
What you'll be doing
Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections and diagnostic testing to identify mechanical and electrical faults
Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups, and belt inspections
Repair and replace faulty components such as brakes, suspension systems, engines, transmissions, and cooling systems
Operate diagnostic equipment and specialised tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
Document all work completed, including parts used and labour hours, in workshop management systems
Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair requirements, timelines, and costs
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Keep up to date with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices
What we're looking for
Formal qualification in automotive mechanics or equivalent demonstrated experience in the automotive trades industry
Robust proficiency with diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools
Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, engine mechanics, and brake systems




Understanding of relevant Australian automotive safety standards and regulations
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to customers in clear terms
Current driver's licence and ability to road-test vehicles
