Eating Disorder Service Clinician - Training and Development
A permanent part-time opportunity to influence the delivery of evidence-based eating disorder treatment on a state-wide level.
About the role
As a Senior Clinician within the Queensland Eating Disorder Service (QuEDS), you will play a pivotal role in improving eating disorder care across Queensland. Combining advanced clinical expertise with workforce development and service improvement, you will support the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based eating disorder treatment across specialist and non-specialist health services.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Apply high level professional judgement and decision making to undertake specialist eating disorder assessment and treatment, to manage a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable clinical evidence utilising high level clinical problem-solving skills.
As part of the multidisciplinary team deliver contemporary high level clinical services based on profession specific valid and reliable evidence, including development and provision of individual and group based therapeutic programs for people affected by eating disorders.
Co-ordinate, develop and translate eating disorder clinical practice guidelines into engaging training and workforce development strategies on a state-wide level under initiatives funded under Better Care Together.
Provide individual and group supervision,



support and education to relevant Allied Health and nursing professionals to build the capacity of specialist and non-specialist eating disorder services to provide evidence-based care.
Lead service and system responses to address emerging service needs, in relation to eating disorders through innovation and local adaptation and application of best practice standards of care.
