Design Manager
required for busy structural steel construction company in Berrinba.
We are one of Queensland's foremost structural steel fabricators and erectors with a solid 46-year history in the construction industry and are responsible for some of the most prominent structures around South-East Queensland. Due to recent expansion, the move into our new contemporary facility, and an increase in tendering activity and projects under construction, we are looking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced Design Manager to join our growing Estimating and Project Management team.
You will be responsible for:
Review of project designs and advising on preferred structural details
Liaising with drafting subcontractors
Monitoring and reporting to the client on drafting and fabrication status
Assisting with design solutions for all design and construct projects
To be successful you will need:
Previous experience in the structural steel industry and a drafting background will be highly regarded
Basic experience using AutoCAD or 3d software such as Prosteel, Tekla or Advance Steel
High level of organisational and communication skills
Medium to high level of computer literacy
Ability to multi-task, coupled with meticulous attention to detail
Ability to efficiently manage your own workload to meet pressing deadlines
