About the Role
Reporting into the Principal Enterprise Architect, this Lead Solution Architect role sits within the Global Platforms team, with a focus on People, Legal and Risk. You'll bridge business demand, solution design, governance and delivery planning across a broad portfolio of initiatives, working closely with Enterprise Architecture, delivery teams and vendors.

Duties / Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Principal Enterprise Architect to produce solution designs across the Global Platforms portfolio
Lead early-stage assessment of recent platforms, vendor solutions and SaaS products, including options analysis and recommendations
Support the introduction of AI-enabled and digital capabilities into corporate platforms
Work closely with delivery teams, platform teams and third-party vendors to protect solution integrity end to end
Manage requirements to balance business value with technical constraints, keeping scope fit for purpose
Skills and Experience




Extensive experience delivering solutions across corporate functions within insurance or financial services
Experience leading solution architecture through delivery, maintaining end-to-end solution integrity
Experience designing digital platforms and digital employee experiences
Strong capability in APIs, orchestration, event-driven architecture, workflow and rules-based design
Experience defining integration patterns across core cloud based platforms and external services
Strong understanding of non-functional architecture including performance, scalability, resilience, observability, security and supportability
Strong governance and communication skills, engaging effectively with technical and business stakeholders
Experience working across local and enterprise contexts, adapting shared capabilities to market-specific needs
Desirable: experience with AI-enabled solutions, and with platforms such as Workday or Planview
