ROLE – Project Engineer – Water & Wastewater

SALARY - $110,000 - $150,000 per annum, dependent on experience

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Adelaide, SA

My client provides specialist engineering solutions across the Water and Wastewater sector, delivering innovative treatment systems and engineered solutions for industrial and infrastructure projects.

They are looking for a Project Engineer to join their growing team in Adelaide. This role would suit an engineer with experience in water treatment, wastewater, process systems, packaged plant equipment, piping systems, or similar industrial engineering environments.

The Project Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:At least 2 years of experience in a Mechanical, Project, Design, or Process Engineering roleExperience working on Water, Wastewater, Industrial Process, Utilities, or similar engineering projectsExperience with pumps, piping, valves, tanks, treatment systems, or related mechanical equipmentAble to read and interpret P&IDs; and engineering drawingsIdeally have experience using 3D CAD softwareExperience working with fabricated equipment, sheet metal,



or skid-based systems would be beneficialDegree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering disciplineExperience taking projects from concept through to manufacture and installationAble to manage projects, timelines, budgets, and technical documentationExperience creating and maintaining BOMs and engineering documentationStrong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

The Project Engineer role will involve:Producing concept designs, detailed engineering drawings, and 3D modelsManaging engineering projects from concept through to production and deliveryWorking closely with internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partnersSupporting the design and delivery of Water and Wastewater treatment systems and equipmentLiaising with fabrication and manufacturing providers throughout project deliveryPreparing technical documentation, reports, and project recordsUpdating engineering drawings, models, and design revisionsCreating and maintaining BOMs within the MRP systemSupporting assembly, testing, and commissioning activities where requiredWorking within a cooperative, growing engineering team on a variety of projects
