Family Law Legal Assistant | Sydney
We are seeking an experienced Family Law Legal Assistant to join a high-performing and well-regarded family law practice in Sydney's CBD. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a busy team of senior family lawyers in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
This role is ideal for a career Legal Assistant with strong family law experience who enjoys working across complex and varied matters including parenting disputes, property settlements, divorce proceedings, mediation, and intervention orders.
About the Role
You will provide comprehensive legal secretarial and administrative support to multiple senior family lawyers, including:
End-to-end file management across family law matters
Drafting and preparing court documents and correspondence
Diary and inbox management for multiple fee earners




Client communication and intake support
Preparation and filing of court documents
Subpoenas, hearings, mediations, and conference coordination
Billing support and general legal administration
About You
Previous experience as a Family Law Legal Assistant (essential)
Strong knowledge of family law processes and court procedures
Confident supporting multiple lawyers in a busy, high-volume environment
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Solid communication skills and a professional client approach
Ability to work in a hybrid environment (3 days office / 2 WFH typically)
