As Reosteel continues to grow, we're seeking an experienced,
Trade Qualified Mechanical Maintenance Fitter
to join our afternoon shift team in Casula, NSW. This hands‐on, full‐time permanent role offers long‐term stability, excellent working conditions, and the opportunity to work with modern European machinery in a high‐performance manufacturing environment. You'll play a key role in maintaining and optimising plant equipment while contributing to the success of a leading Australian steel manufacturer.

What You'll Be Doing
Preventative and Breakdown Maintenance
: Inspect, service, and repair mechanical systems across a range of steel processing equipment, including MEP off‐coil machines, benders,



shearline cutters and mesh & trench mesh machines.
Fault Diagnosis and Troubleshooting
: Identify mechanical faults and implement timely solutions to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
Installation and Commissioning
: Assist with the setup, alignment, and testing of new machinery and mechanical systems
Fabrication and Repairs
: Use hand tools, welding equipment, and machining tools to fabricate or modify components as needed
Hydraulics and Pneumatics
: Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, valves, and compressors
Workshop and Inventory Management
: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and manage spare parts inventory
Safety and Compliance
: Adhere to WHS policies and procedures, conduct risk assessments, and ensure all work meets regulatory standards
Continuous Improvement
: Participate in cross‐functional projects with Engineering and Quality teams, contributing to process improvements and equipment upgrades
What You'll Bring
Trade Qualified Mechanical Maintenance Fitter
Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
Experience with reinforcing steel equipment highly desirable
Strong time management and prioritisation skills
A proactive mindset and "can‐do" attitude
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment
