Optical Dispenser - Eyecare Plus Penrith

Eyecare Plus Penrith is an independent, locally owned practice known for personalised eye care and a genuine relationship with our community. We're looking for an Optical Dispenser to join our team.
The role
Interpret prescriptions and dispense spectacles and contact lenses
Guide patients through frame and lens selection to suit their prescription, lifestyle and budget
Take accurate measurements (PD, heights, vertex distance)
Fit, adjust and repair frames
Fitting lenses, training provided if necessary
Manage orders with suppliers and labs, and follow up on jobs
Handle patient bookings, health fund claims and Medicare processing
Maintain frame displays and assist with stock control
About you
Qualified Optical Dispenser (Cert IV in Optical Dispensing)



or working towards it - experienced candidates without formal qualifications are welcome to apply
Strong communication skills and a real interest in helping people
Attention to detail and comfort with optical measurements and equipment
Reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a small team
Experience with practice management software (e.g. Optomate, Sunix) an advantage
