CENTENNIAL BARK is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Grooming Assistant & Daycare Attendant to join our friendly team.
This is a hands‐on role that combines professional grooming support with supervising our daycare dogs, making it perfect for someone who enjoys both grooming and canine care.
This position offers***** hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts rostered between7:30am and 7:30pm.
What you'll be doing
As part of our team, you'll play an important role in ensuring every dog has a safe, enjoyable and positive experience.
Your duties will include:
Washing, drying and brushing dogs in preparation for grooming
Assisting our groomer with bathing, coat preparation, nail clipping and ear cleaning
Supervising and caring for dogs attending daycare
Monitoring dog behaviour and ensuring safe group play
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the salon and daycare
Walking up to 4 dogs at a time (min. 45 mins)
Providing friendly customer service to clients at drop‐off and pick‐up
Assisting with bookings, administration and general daily operations
About you
We're looking for someone who is reliable, energetic and genuinely passionate about working with dogs.
To be successful, you'll have:
Previous experience washing dogs in a skilled grooming salon (essential)




Experience working in dog daycare, boarding or animal care (highly regarded)
Confidence handling dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments
Excellent customer service and communication skills
A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a close‐knit team
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, safe workplace
Animal Studies qualifications (desirable but not essential)
