We are seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager to lead our distribution operations across NSW, ensuring all Distribution Centres in the region operate at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction as the primary goal.
About the role
Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will lead, coach and support DC Managers across the region, championing operational excellence, continuous improvement and a strong safety culture.
You will work closely with the Chief Operations Officer, Regional Sales Managers, ANZ Continuous Improvement, the Facilities and Fleet Manager, and third-party freight providers.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring the ability to move confidently between all functions, from receiving to dispatch.
Key responsibilities
Manage the Sydney DC and regional distribution performance, working with the National Operations Manager and DC Managers to set, measure and meet targets
Lead, coach and mentor our DC employees to maintain and lift operations performance
Champion Tyremax's customer service and operational excellence ethos across the regional team




Partner with Operations Continuous Improvement to implement best practice and systemisation across the region
Champion health and safety, coaching DC Managers, supervisors to drive continuous improvement in safety culture
Ensure DC Managers maintain compliance with all health and safety policies, reporting and training records
Support oversight of vendor management for freight, warehouse consumables and contractors
About you
Ensure that all DC in region meat KPI's
High emotional intelligence with solid communication and influencing skills
Great planning and organisational capability, managing conflicting priorities and stakeholders
Genuine leadership drive to lift performance and progress continuous improvement
Demonstrated commitment to safety, with experience managing health and safety effectively
Customer-centric, with the ability to work closely with the sales team
Confident across all distribution functions, from receiving to dispatch
Hands‐on, with experience training, coaching and engaging staff
Understanding of housekeeping standards, stock integrity and cost-to-serve
Workforce planning experience and willingness to travel across the region
Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics/Supply Chain, or substantial relevant experience; Chain of Responsibility and Continuous Improvement knowledge desirable
