Blue Water Shipping Oceania is seeking a highly experienced Commercial Logistics Specialist to drive the commercialisation, optimisation, and execution of strategic logistics initiatives across complex international supply chains and high-value projects.
This is a unique opportunity to join one of the world's leading project logistics organisations and play a critical role in delivering strategic supply chain solutions that support major industrial, infrastructure, mining, energy and capital projects.
Working alongside senior stakeholders across Procurement, Legal, Commercial, Contracts and Operations, you will transform complex logistics strategies into scalable, commercially sustainable outcomes while driving efficiency, cost optimisation and long-term value creation.
This role offers significant exposure to international & domestic logistics networks, vessel chartering programs, 3PL equipment supply chains and high-value commercial agreements.

Contract: Initial 6-Month Contract (Strong Potential for Extension)

Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Execution
Lead the commercialisation of logistics requirements within key equipment vendor agreements, with a focus on buffer stock obligations, chartering strategies and DDP delivery models. Develop and implement commercially viable logistics solutions that align with broader business and project objectives. Translate contractual logistics obligations into practical, executable operating frameworks and vendor performance requirements.




Chartering & Logistics Optimisation
Support the development and implementation of strategic vessel charter and lease programs. Establish measurable performance indicators and contribute to achieving first-year return on investment objectives. Identify opportunities to maximise vessel utilisation, shipment consolidation and logistics efficiencies across multiple regions.
Contract & Stakeholder Management
Drive logistics contract execution in partnership with Contracts Managers, Procurement teams, Legal Counsel and key business stakeholders. Ensure alignment between contractual obligations, operational delivery requirements and commercial outcomes. Build strong relationships across internal and external stakeholder groups to ensure successful project execution.
Supply Chain Analysis & Continuous Improvement
Analyse supply and demand forecasts, project schedules, active work orders and equipment requirements to optimise logistics planning. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements across end-to-end logistics flows. Support logistics operations spanning Australia, Malaysia and emerging growth markets.
About You
You are a commercially minded logistics professional who thrives in complex, project-driven environments and enjoys solving strategic supply chain challenges.
You will bring:
Demonstrated experience within project logistics,



industrial freight, heavy equipment logistics, chartering, breakbulk or complex international supply chains.
Robust commercial acumen with a sound understanding of logistics contracts, vendor agreements, Incoterms (particularly DDP), procurement frameworks and operating models.
Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups including Commercial, Legal, Procurement, Operations and Project Delivery teams.
Exceptional analytical, negotiation and problem-solving capabilities.
Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation.
The ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve and projects move quickly.
