With over 35 years of industry expertise, Kitchen Centre is recognised for its exceptional craftsmanship, creative design, and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.
Join our dynamic and growing team in Launceston and contribute to our continued success.
We pride ourselves on providing a nurturing workspace that prioritises the needs of individuals, fostering an environment of inclusivity and diversity whilst offering enjoyment, fulfilment, and individual growth.
Due to our ever-expanding operations, we are currently seeking a versatile and highly motivated Assistant Storeperson and Relief Truck Driver to join our team.
This is a vital, dual-purpose role ensuring the smooth flow of materials through our factory and the safe, timely delivery of products to our installation sites.
About the Role
You will play a key role in the heart of our operations.
Your primary responsibility will be supporting the warehouse environment—receiving goods, managing stock, and maintaining facility organisation to ensure our production team has exactly what they need.
Additionally, you will step in as a Relief Delivery Driver, loading trucks and executing on-site deliveries of custom joinery to keep our installation teams running without delay.
Your work will be fast-paced, varied, and highly valued.
Responsibilities
Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming stock (including scheduled supplier deliveries), ensuring accuracy and quality standards are maintained.

Support weekly stock counts and help maintain precise inventory records.
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
Driving Duties
Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport cabinetry and joinery to various sites when coverage is required.
Load and dispatch goods, taking ownership of quality assurance by double-checking plans, counting components, and chasing up pending items prior to departure.
Maintain the highest standards of truck cleanliness and cabin hygiene during driving shifts.
Manage site waste recovery, strictly segregating waste into correct factory skips (plastic, foam, cardboard) upon return.
Self-manage statutory rest breaks in compliance with fatigue management guidelines when on the road.
Skills & Experience
Current valid Manual Driver's Licence.
MR minimum requirement
Previous experience in a similar store person, warehouse, or delivery driver role.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to pivot between warehouse support and driving duties.
Excellent communication skills and close attention to detail.
A tidy, organised professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe and clean workspace/vehicle.
Good physical fitness to perform manual handling, loading, and unloading tasks safely.
Desirable: Previous joinery or cabinet-making industry experience (highly valued, but not essential).
Benefits & Perks
Competitive salary and opportunities for career growth and professional development.
Supportive, collaborative, and inclusive team culture.
Discounts on our premium kitchen and bathroom products.
Flexible work arrangements to support your work-life balance.
