We are seeking an experienced
Senior Data Scientist
to join a high-performing data and analytics team delivering impactful AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics solutions within a complex and highly secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and delivery of advanced analytics, machine learning, AI, and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions.
Design and implement statistically robust models including predictive, classification, forecasting, and causal inference models.
Own the end-to-end data science lifecycle from problem definition through to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Apply advanced statistical techniques, experimental design methodologies, and hypothesis testing frameworks.
Develop and optimise machine learning models using supervised and unsupervised learning techniques.
Design deep learning solutions using CNNs, RNNs, and transformer-based architectures where appropriate.
Conduct model testing, validation, performance monitoring, and governance activities.
Work closely with stakeholders to translate business challenges into actionable analytical solutions.
Present analytical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
Mentor and support analysts and junior data scientists.
Collaborate with data engineering and platform teams to deploy scalable production-ready solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, or Applied Research.
Strong expertise in statistics, predictive modelling, and experimental design.




Proven experience delivering end-to-end data science and machine learning solutions.
Hands-on experience with AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
Expert-level Python programming skills, including:
NumPy
Pandas
Scikit-learn
PyTorch and/or TensorFlow
Advanced SQL skills with experience working across complex datasets.
Experience with machine learning techniques including:
Regression
Classification
Clustering
Ensemble methods
Feature engineering
Model optimisation
Strong understanding of MLOps/AIOps, model validation, and monitoring practices.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
Highly Desirable
Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
Experience working with large-scale, sensitive, or secure datasets.
Exposure to graph analytics, knowledge graphs, or graph databases.
Previous experience within government, public sector, defence, law enforcement, or other highly regulated environments.
