Transdev John Holland Buses (TJHB) is an integrated joint venture partnership between Transdev Australasia and John Holland combining the know-how of one of the world's leading mobility companies and one of the nation's leading integrated infrastructure, transport and building companies.
Your role:
Transdev John Holland Buses is seeking to fill a vacancy for a permanent Depot Supervisor to act as a People Leader.
There are two vacancies for this role, one of which is located at the Waverley and the other is Randwick Depot.
It is a requirement of the role that you may be required to work across all 3 depots upon request.
Hours of work will be from Monday to Friday with a span of hours ranging from 6:00am to 5:00pm.The successful candidate will have a flair for people management, demonstrate flawless communication and excellent negotiation skills.
This is an onsite role.
Your responsibilities:
Provide strong leadership and supervision skills in managing work priorities, effective performance management and the ability to guide and motivate bus operators to ensure that service requirements are met.
Provide effective and confident people management skills.
Support the day-to-day delivery of TJHB's bus services by ensuring that the Depot meets all customer and contractual requirements and other statutory and regulatory requirements.
Lead a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the depot and contribute to the overall success of TJHB.
Assist in the analysis of daily, weekly and monthly operational performance identifying improvement opportunities
Lead a culture of safety, accountability and service excellence in the depot.
Work collaboratively with operational teams to develop and implement sustainable solutions.
Conduct performance discussions and coaching support for Drivers.
The talent you bring:
A strong track in people management with some employment relations knowledge and application.
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role within a service industry, transport / logistics industry or parallel industry.
Hold a current or ability to obtain TLIF**** Apply Fatigue Management Certificate.
Hold a current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certificate.
Be able to obtain a working with children clearance (WWCC)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to undertake performance management discussions and interviews.
Establish positive relationships and gain cooperation with the workforce.
Solid attention to detail, highly organised with an ability to manage competing deadlines.
Strong people leadership skills with a demonstrated capability of leading with clarity and care.
Operational problem solver who thrives under pressure.
Strong leadership and supervision skills in managing work priorities and the ability to undertake performance management discussions and interviews as required
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to interpret and apply relevant policies, practices and Industrial instruments.
