HDPE Electrical Leak Detection Technicians & Operators
to join our team, supporting the safe and successful testing of our clients' HDPE containment projects across Australia and internationally.
Positions will be Brisbane-based, with work undertaken on a
FIFO and DIDO roster
across GeoQ's national and international project footprint.

About the Role
As an HDPE Electrical Leak Detection Technician / Operator, you will be responsible for carrying out specialist testing and quality assurance activities across a range of geosynthetic containment projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Performing electrical leak detection testing of geosynthetic lining systems, including HDPE, LLDPE, geotextiles, geocomposites and HDPE poly-pipe
Performing geomembrane testing using specialist equipment such as Arc Testers, Dipole and Water Lance units
Conducting testing independently and accurately in accordance with project and GeoQ requirements
Testing the integrity of geosynthetic welds and ensuring welds meet required specifications and quality standards
Ensuring GeoQ testing equipment is correctly maintained, serviced and cared for
Completing required site documentation and testing records
Working safely and effectively across mining, civil construction and other project environments
Working on FIFO and DIDO roster arrangements
What we are looking for:
We are looking for reliable, safety-focused individuals who enjoy hands-on work and are comfortable working in remote and project-based environments.
A minimum of 1 year's experience working within commercial construction, civil or mining environments
A demonstrated solid and reliable work history
Previous experience with HDPE, geomembranes, geosynthetics or electrical leak detection highly regarded
IAGI and/or TWI geomembrane installation certification preferred, but not essential
A Civil or Electrical Engineering qualification, or similar technical qualification, with a practical hands-on approach will also be considered
Relevant industry tickets
Current White Card
Current Driver's Licence
Ability to complete basic site paperwork and testing documentation
Ability to take direction and follow procedures and instructions
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Ability to undertake physically demanding work in varying site conditions
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Willingness and ability to work a FIFO 2:1 or 3:1 roster
