Job Description
We are looking to source on behalf of a leading government rail organisation a Rail Technical Manager for a contract position that can be based in either Sydney or Canberra. The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of technical services for a major rail infrastructure project which is currently in the planning and development phase.

Coordinate Engineering Inputs
Provide Technical Contract Support
Offer technology and innovation support
Manage Project Delivery
Provide support for The Overall Team and Workstreams
Skills and Experience
Experience in rail infrastructure projects, including major project (+$5 billion) development and delivery.
Experience supporting contract administration, monitoring performance, and ensuring alignment with project milestones.
Demonstrated experience coordinating engineering inputs across major rail projects,



including track, stations, rollingstock, and digital train control systems.
Ability to review technical deliverables for compliance with standards, safety regulations, and operational requirements.
Familiarity with systems engineering, safety assurance, and risk management in large-scale infrastructure environments.
Have a relevant engineering degree; CEng status (ideal).
Contract Details
The contract will last until 30 June **** initially.
Compensation
The pay rate is the contract equivalent of $140,000-$150,000 plus super.
