The Senior Warehouse Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the daily operations and providing guidance to our warehouse team. With experience and expertise in warehouse management, your responsibilities include ensuring the efficient flow of goods, coordinating customised deliveries to client sites, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and leading a team of warehouse staff. Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Management
Oversee and manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
Ensure accurate and timely receipt, storage, and retrieval of goods, maintaining proper documentation and records.
Coordinate customized delivery schedules and routes to client sites, ensuring on-time and accurate delivery.
Conduct regular stock takes, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing inventory control strategies.
Monitor stock levels, replenishing inventory as needed to meet demand and minimize stockouts.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to occupational health and safety regulations.
Team Leadership and Supervision
Provide leadership and guidance to warehouse staff, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring optimal performance.
Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor workflow to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Train and develop warehouse staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Promote teamwork, collaboration, and open communication.
Supplier and Freight Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, freight companies, and other external partners.




Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
Negotiate favorable freight rates and terms with carriers to optimize transportation costs.
Monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues or concerns to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
System and Process Improvement
Utilize warehouse management systems or inventory tracking software to optimize warehouse operations.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve inventory control, and enhance customer service.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role within a logistics or distribution environment.
Proven track record of overseeing and managing warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, and inventory management.
Extensive knowledge of warehouse processes, best practices, and industry standards.
Experience in leading and supervising a team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective warehouse operations.
Strong understanding of inventory control principles, including conducting stock takes, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing inventory management strategies.
Familiarity with customised delivery processes and coordination with customers sites.




Proficiency in using warehouse management systems or inventory tracking software.
Experience in managing relationships with suppliers, freight companies, and other stakeholders.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, clients, and external partners.
Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work setting.
Forklift license and experience operating forklifts safely and efficiently.
Commitment to quality processes and maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency in warehouse operations.
Proven ability to adapt to changing circumstances, handle challenges, and make informed decisions to optimise warehouse performance.
