We are seeking the services of an experienced, results driven, Operations manager to join our team in Smeaton Grange.

The successful candidate will have a skilled and confident manner, will be positive in their approach to work, and take pride in their appearance.

Role Overview

Managing day to day operations within our transport division

Provide leadership across the team by implementing and coordinating risk-based operational plans, outputs and outcomes

Ensuring the operations team fulfil their individual roles while taking ownership efficiency and profitably over all facets of the operational floor.

Reporting to State Manager and working to ensure the best possible outcomes for the business while ensuring a safe environment

Job Tasks and Responsibilities





Ensuring staff levels are adequate for the work being completed on any given day

Ensure the efficient loading of trailers to maximize profitability

Establish and maintain a safe work environment in line with Secure Work NSW and National safety legislation

Identify and manage areas within the business that are unproductive and manage Labor to fill those gaps

Ensure the drivers work hours are managed

The ability to discipline staff when necessary

Implement training and safety initiatives

Comply with company policies and legal guidelines

Skills and Experience

Strong transport knowledge

Proven leadership & management experience

Experience with freight programs

Ability to problem solve

Solid communications skills

Forklift licence (preferred)

Australian citizenship required for this position
