What you'll be doing
As a Podiatrist Level 1/2, you will provide specialist podiatry assessment and treatment to patients presenting to the Foot Wound Clinic. Using best practice principles and an interdisciplinary approach, you will play a key role in managing complex foot wounds and supporting optimal patient outcomes.
Assess and manage patients with complex foot wounds using evidence-based clinical practice
Prescribe and implement offloading strategies, including footwear, orthoses and Total Contact Casting where appropriate
Utilise advanced podiatry techniques, including computerised gait analysis and CAD/CAM orthotic technologies
Maintain comprehensive clinical documentation, coordinate referrals and support effective discharge planning
Participate in research, data collection, quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development

Selection Criteria
Demonstrated knowledge in the treatment and management of patients; who may be distressed, presenting with foot wounds according to establish best practice guidelines
Willingness to participate in ongoing education and promotion of the Foot Wound Clinic, Westmead Hospital
Knowledge and compliance of OH&S; and Infection Control policies and legislation and willingness to participate in continuous Quality Improvement activities
Knowledge in the prescription and application of orthotic therapy and offloading modalities
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within an interdisciplinary team
Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients
Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail
