We are seeking a compassionate and motivated
Project Officer
to coordinate and deliver the Balance for Life: Healthy Ageing and Falls Prevention Program, supporting older people to improve their strength, balance, confidence and independence through evidence-based exercise, education and community participation.
The role provides participant-centred coordination from referral through to program completion, ensuring participants receive a welcoming, safe and well-coordinated service. The Program Officer works collaboratively with allied health professionals, transport providers, volunteers and community partners to ensure high-quality program delivery and positive participant outcomes.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Full-time role: 15 hours per week
SACS Award Level 3

ABOUT YOU
To be successful, you will have:
Diploma or Degree in Community Services, Health, Human Services, Ageing or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated experience coordinating community or health programs.
Experience working with older people.
Excellent organisational and case coordination skills.
Ability to build effective relationships with health professionals.
Experience maintaining confidential records.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Current Queensland Driver Licence with confidence driving community transport vehicles.
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
National Police Check.
Blue Card (or ability to obtain).

The Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre was founded **** as a community based initiative to provide help, friendship and support to the most disenfranchised people in the community. The emphasis of all of our activities is on people and the relief of issues and concerns that impede them from living a successful and happy life.
We develop and deliver programs and services in response to community need. Presently, the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre manages 30 programs that encompass aspects of aged care, family services, diversity and social isolation.
