About the opportunity
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be part of a skilled technical team responsible for keeping critical mail processing equipment operating safely, reliably and at peak performance. Working closely with Technical Managers and Leads, you'll carry out preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance, diagnose and resolve complex faults, and support continuous improvements that strengthen reliability across the operation.
Safety and compliance are central to everything you do, with disciplined processes and standards guiding each task. You'll use maintenance management systems, including SAP, to accurately record work, manage materials and support effective planning.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a high‐performing environment where precision, accountability and results matter. With ongoing coaching and development from experienced technical leaders, you'll continue to build capability while contributing to an operation that delivers consistently and performs at its best.
About the facility
Our Darra facility operates with advanced automated processing and conveyor systems, supported by PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers),



VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), network communications and industrial control technologies.
This is a hands‐on role where you'll work with modern equipment in a fast‐paced operational environment that plays a critical role in StarTrack's national network.
About you
To be successful, you'll bring:
Current Queensland Electrical Licence
Experience in industrial maintenance, automation, manufacturing, logistics or similar environments
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across electrical and mechanical systems
Exposure to PLCs, VFDs and automated equipment (highly regarded)
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Robust communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability
A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
Flexibility to work additional hours when operationally required

Starting salary $82,575 reviewed after 3 months. Potential earnings could exceed $110,000 (with penalties and overtime).
