We are seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team at Blue Shield Family General Practice in Kogarah, NSW. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to our patients.
What you'll be doing
Assisting general practitioners in the delivery of clinical care to patients
Conducting health assessments, administering vaccinations, and managing chronic conditions
Coordinating and implementing health promotion and disease prevention programs
Providing patient education and support, ensuring they understand their treatment plans
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical documentation
Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and professional standards of practice
What we're looking for
Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with current AHPRA registration
Demonstrated experience in a general practice or primary healthcare setting
Strong clinical skills and the ability to work autonomously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and the broader healthcare team
Proficient in using clinical software and technology to support patient care
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Current CPR certification and immunisation provider status
Experience with Best Practice software or similar clinical management systems
Demonstrated competency in wound care, ECG administration, and cold chain management
Minimum 2 years' experience in general practice or primary healthcare setting
Eligibility to work in Australia and current Working with Children Check
