As we expand our company nationally, we are seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor who will not just maintain our standards but help shape the future of safety and quality at Alight Contractors.
The Opportunity
Based at our Wakerley head office, you will own the Integrated Management System (IMS), lead site based audits and inspections, interface with clients, and help ensure our projects are delivered safely, compliant and to the highest standard.
Reporting directly to management, you will step into a high-visibility, autonomous national role - building the systems and standards this business will run on as it grows.
You will manage your own priorities across our Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide operations, with periodic travel required to maintain a hands-on presence at every site.
The right person will engage naturally with the trades, understand the mechanics of modular manufacturing, and confidently uphold safety and quality standards without creating friction.
Your Responsibilities
Own and continuously improve our Integrated Management System (IMS), driving progress towards ISO ****, ***** and ***** certification
Lead a program of quality and safety audits and inspections across all sites - Luscombe, Rocklea, Perth and Adelaide
Investigate incidents, near misses and non-conformances,



and drive corrective actions through to verified close-out
Build and maintain a positive, proactive safety culture through toolbox talks, safety meetings and hands-on engagement with crews and subcontractors
Compliance & Documentation
Manage employee compliance - inductions, licences, training and VOCs
Review and support development of SWMS, JHAs and site-specific safety documentation
Maintain IMS compliance registers, and compile QA/HSEQ reporting for management
Support project QA documentation, including test sheets and certificates of testing
Stakeholder Engagement
Interface directly with clients and principals on safety and quality matters, including attending key project meetings
Report to management with real-time visibility on compliance, risk and continuous improvement opportunities
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in a HSEQ role within construction, electrical or manufacturing
Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or willingness to obtain)
Confident communicator - comfortable auditing on-site and reporting to management
Strong computer skills - Microsoft Word and Excel to a proficient level
Current open driver's licence
Willingness and ability to travel interstate periodically (Perth and Adelaide)
Self-motivated, with the ability to manage a varied, autonomous workload across multiple sites
Electrical or trades industry background
Experience implementing or maintaining ISO management systems - ****, ***** or *****
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)
Experience working across multi-site or national operations
What's In It For You
$120,000 - $140,000 + super, commensurate with experience
