We are seeking a motivated and analyticalIndustrial Relations Advisorto join a busy People & Culture team on an initial three-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is passionate about employment law and industrial relations and wants to develop their technical expertise alongside experienced professionals.
About the Role
Working closely with the senior HR and Industrial Relations team, you'll support a broad range of employee and industrial matters, providing research, analysis and practical support across a busy operational environment.
This role would suit someone who enjoys problem solving, interpreting legislation and awards, and producing well-researched, accurate advice.
Key Responsibilities
Review and interpret Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and employment contracts.
Research Industrial Relations and Employment Law matters.
Draft responses relating to employee and industrial issues.
Assist with employee enquiries regarding pay, conditions and employment entitlements.
Prepare research papers, summaries and recommendations to support decision making.
Support the resolution of day-to-day employee relations matters.
Work collaboratively within the People & Culture team to manage a high volume of operational matters.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
Approximately 1-2 years' experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations or Industrial Relations; or
Recently completed a degree in Employment Law, Industrial Relations, Human Resources or Legal with a strong interest in IR.
You'll also bring:
Strong research and analytical skills.
Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
The ability to interpret legislation, awards and employment documentation.
Confidence prioritising work in a fast-paced environment.
A genuine interest in building a career within Industrial Relations and Employment Law.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
