Job Description

Cannon Trailers, Manufacturers of custom-made livestock truck trailers are currently recruiting for multiple Welders and Metal Fabricators to join their manufacturing department in Crows Nest QLD. Successful candidates will need to undertake and possess:
Evaluate all engineering drawings and ensure implementation according to welding specifications.
Perform all welding position work with help of forming and cutting equipment.
Provide assistance to production process and Mould various fixtures.
Design and produce recent parts according to BUCYRUS specifications.
Perform effective welding of various metal objects with help of gas torch and welder.
Perform repair to damaged alloy articles and prepare recent articles with help of welding machines.
Perform work with help of various hand and power tools.
Analyze diagrams and specifications and cut all metal accordingly with help of welding torch.
Assist to remove all soft metal for welding.




Evaluate finished products and perform quality checks on products.
Assemble old units and perform modification and repair work if required.
Collaborate work with metal sheets and apply various insulation materials.
Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements.
Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machine.
Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiseling and grinding.

Skills & Abilities
Ideally have a Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication and or
A Minimum of 3 years’ experience in relevant field
Competent Oxy cutting
Competent MIG Welding
Ability to adhere to workplace OH&S; requirements.

Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience. Full-time Positions available Application opens on 14th of June 2026 and closes on 14th of July 2026.
