Food Technologist (Quality Systems Specialist)
For our client, a rapid-growing Australian FMCG food manufacturer producing high-quality chilled products for major retailers, we are currently looking for aFood Technologist (Quality Systems Specialist)to join the team on permanent basis.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role ensures quality systems are effective, audit-ready, and continuously improving.
Key Responsibilities
Own and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), including controlled changes to processes, specifications, and documentation
Lead internal audits and GMP inspections, and manage the CAPA system to ensure strong root cause analysis and timely close-out
Support external audits, including preparation, hosting, and responses
Manage the Approved Supplier Program, ensuring suppliers are assessed,



approved, and monitored
Investigate and close out customer complaints, identifying trends and preventing recurrence
Partner with operations to embed practical procedures and improve compliance on the floor
About You
Food Science/Food Technology degree
You'll have strong hands-on experience with QMS, GMP and CAPA processes, ideally gained over several years in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Strong stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement mindset
Experience with systems such as Fishbowl or SafetyCulture highly regarded
