Mount View Estate is a premium boutique winery and hospitality destination established in **** in the Mount View district of the Hunter Valley.
The estate has recently undergone a major redevelopment and now includes an expanded modern winery, cellar door, tourist accommodation, restaurant and function facilities.
The vineyard was first planted in **** and is now entering an important current stage of renewal.
We are refurbishing existing vineyard areas with new trellis and irrigation infrastructure, as well as preparing to plant out vacant areas of the estate.
We are seeking a capable, hands-onVineyard Supervisorto take responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the vineyard.
This role will suit either an experienced Vineyard Supervisor or a competent vineyard operator who is ready to progress into a broader leadership position.
With the significant increase in winery processing capacity and the long-term growth plans for the business, there is potential for future vineyard and land acquisition, vineyard development and broader viticultural responsibilities.

About the Role
The Vineyard Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining vineyard performance, coordinating seasonal vineyard activities, supervising workers and contractors where required, and ensuring all vineyard operations are carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
This is a practical, hands-on role requiring strong vineyard knowledge, machinery skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and carry out day-to-day vineyard operations across the estate
Coordinate seasonal vineyard activities including pruning, canopy management, spraying, irrigation, pest and disease control, harvest preparation and general vineyard maintenance
Assist with vineyard redevelopment works including trellis upgrades, irrigation improvements and new planting preparation
Monitor vine health, vineyard performance and seasonal conditions
Supervise casual workers, contractors and external service providers where required
Operate and maintain vineyard machinery, agricultural equipment and farm infrastructure




Maintain safe work practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards
Support winery operations during vintage and other busy periods where required
Undertake general grounds and property maintenance as required
Work flexible hours, including overtime during harvest and other peak operational periods
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Previous hands-on vineyard experience
The knowledge, experience and capacity to undertake all facets of vineyard management
Experience in vineyard establishment, refurbishment or redevelopment
The ability to work independently with limited supervision
The ability to supervise casual workers, contractors and external service providers
Machinery, agricultural equipment and farm maintenance skills
A strong understanding of safe work practices, regulatory requirements and industry standards
Current driver licence and reliable transport
Chemical handling certificate, or willingness to obtain one
Forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one
The ability to work overtime and flexible hours during grape harvest and other busy periods
Preparedness to assist with grounds maintenance as required
Preparedness to assist in the winery as required, mainly during vintage
Applicants must have Australian citizenship, permanent residency or a valid existing Australian work visa.
