General Selection Criteria
Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
Specific Selection Criteria
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary
Demonstrated experience as a collaborative leader who supports staff in effectively implementing explicit teaching practices in numeracy and literacy, leading curriculum planning and assessment processes that incorporate differentiation strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
Demonstrated deep understanding of current evidence-based practices in effective instruction and data analysis with proven ability to lead, inspire, coach,



and build the capacity of a team of teachers by using student data to inform teaching practices, drive instructional improvement, and enhance student learning outcomes.
Strong interpersonal skills with students and the community and proven ability to collaborate effectively with all staff and as a member of the executive team while successfully balancing dual teaching and leadership responsibilities.
Experience and willingness to lead and participate in extracurricular initiatives and programs across the whole school.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
