Salson Projects (commercial fit-outs) and Renovare (residential renovations) are Brisbane-based building companies delivering shopfitting, office fit-out and home renovation projects across South East Queensland.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Leading Hand Carpenter to work across both arms of our business — leading residential renovation projects with Renovare and supporting commercial fit-outs with Salson Projects. You'll need robust residential renovation experience and be ready to take charge of a small crew in office.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate small crews on residential and commercial sites
Carry out residential renovation carpentry: framing, structural alterations, decking, doors/windows, kitchens, built-ins and finishing carpentry
Carry out commercial fit-out carpentry: joinery, partitions, shopfronts and fixtures
Read and interpret plans and scopes of work
Mentor apprentices and check quality of their work
Maintain a safe worksite and comply with WHS requirements
What You'll Need
Current White Card
Solid, demonstrable experience in residential renovations (essential)
Experience operating as, or ready to step up to, a leading hand
Own tools and current drivers license
Comfortable working in occupied residential homes with a skilled, client-facing manner
