Mater is seeking a Credentialing Officer to join our Clinical Governance team in a maximum term, part time (0.8 FTE / 32 hours per week) position for five months, based at our South Brisbane campus, commencing as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the safe delivery of healthcare by coordinating credentialing processes for medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health practitioners. Working within a collaborative and supportive team, you'll help ensure practitioners meet regulatory and organisational requirements while contributing to high-quality clinical governance across Mater.
What you'll be doing
As a key member of the Clinical Governance team, you'll coordinate credentialing activities while ensuring compliance with organisational and regulatory standards. You will:
Coordinate end-to-end credentialing and re-credentialing processes for health practitioners
Review applications to ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with credentialing requirements
Liaise with applicants, peer reviewers and key stakeholders to facilitate timely processing of applications
Maintain accurate practitioner records, profiles and scope of practice within the credentialing system
Prepare reports and supporting documentation for Credentialing and Medical Advisory Committees
Provide secretariat support, including preparing agendas, distributing papers and recording meeting minutes
Assist with audits, reporting, system improvements and ongoing compliance activities




Provide advice and support regarding credentialing processes, policies and standards
About you
You'll be an organised and detail-oriented administration professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and managing complex processes with accuracy and professionalism. You will bring:
Demonstrated experience in administration, ideally within healthcare, clinical governance or credentialing
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
High level of accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidential information
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a supportive team environment
Knowledge of healthcare credentialing, medical administration or relevant regulatory standards will be highly regarded
