Description
Produce detailed primary design deliverables for HV/MV substations, including SLDs and layout drawings
Support equipment selection and contribute to technical specifications aligned with project needs
Apply foundational knowledge of earthing, clearances, and insulation in design work
Use AutoCAD (or similar) to develop and update engineering drawings
Ensure all designs comply with relevant Australian standards and industry requirements
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate and productive design solutions
Provide technical input during project planning, design reviews,



and delivery phases
Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external stakeholders to support project success

Profile

A successful Junior Primary Engineer should have:
Proficiency in HV/MV substation primary design, including single line diagrams and layouts.
Experience with AutoCAD, microstation or similar design tools to create technical drawings.
Strong understanding of equipment selection, specifications, earthing, and clearance basics.
Familiarity with Australian standards (preferred).
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
A relevant engineering qualification or equivalent technical background.
