Falcones is seeking a motivated
Maintenance Fitter Apprentice
to join our maintenance team at our bakery in Minto.
This chance is suitable for applicants at
any apprenticeship level
, including school leavers, first-year apprentices and apprentices wishing to continue or complete their trade qualification.
The successful applicant will receive practical experience maintaining bakery production equipment while completing a recognised trade qualification.
About the Role
Working with experienced maintenance personnel, you will assist with the servicing, maintenance and repair of bakery production machinery and equipment.
The main objective of the role is to support safe and reliable production by helping minimise machinery breakdowns and production downtime.
Your duties will include:
Assisting with preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
Supporting fault finding and repairs on bakery machinery
Assisting with mechanical breakdowns
Inspecting machinery, guards, belts, bearings, chains and motors
Lubricating and adjusting production equipment
Assisting with machinery installations and upgrades




Completing maintenance records and job documentation
Maintaining tools, equipment and workshop areas
Following lockout and isolation procedures
Complying with workplace health and safety requirements
Following food safety, hygiene and GMP requirements
Working around mixers, ovens, conveyors, proofers, slicers, packaging equipment and other bakery machinery
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has a genuine interest in mechanical fitting and industrial maintenance
Is reliable, punctual and willing to learn
Has a practical and hands-on approach
Can follow instructions and work safely
Has good problem-solving skills
Is comfortable working in a busy food manufacturing environment
Can work independently and as part of a team
Is willing to attend TAFE and complete all apprenticeship requirements
Understands the importance of food safety, cleanliness and machinery safety
Previous experience in manufacturing, maintenance, mechanical work, engineering or food production would be beneficial but is not essential.
