A leading global investment bank is seeking to hire an Associate into its leveraged finance platform in Sydney. The team is experiencing sustained deal flow driven by solid sponsor coverage and increasing demand for event-driven and acquisition financing across Australia and broader APAC. This hire supports continued growth in execution capacity across mid to large-cap transactions.
The role offers direct involvement in the structuring and execution of leveraged buyouts, refinancings, and recapitalisations.



The successful candidate will take ownership of financial modelling, credit analysis, and preparation of lender materials, while working closely with senior stakeholders across sponsors, credit investors, and internal product teams. The platform provides exposure across a broad range of sectors with consistent cross-border engagement.
Candidates will typically have 3-6 years' experience within a leveraged finance, M&A;, or debt advisory team at a global investment bank, leading boutique, or Big 4 corporate finance practice. Strong financial modelling and valuation skills are essential, alongside demonstrable execution experience on debt transactions. Exposure to sponsor-led deal environments and credit structuring will be viewed favourably.
