Freight Assist Australia Hiring for Forklift Drivers (AM & PM Shifts)
Freight Assist Australia is a leading company in bulk national transport, logistics, and 3PL warehousing, specialising in general and express freight Australia wide. They are currently looking for 2 sidekicks to join their operations in their Sydney warehouse in Smithfield on an ongoing basis.
AM Shift Time: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:06pm
Pay Rate: $35.40 per hour + super
PM Shift Time: Monday to Friday, 1:00pm - 9:00pm (often chance for overtime)
Pay Rate: $40.36 per hour + super
What you will be doing:
Load and unload interstate trailers.
Secure outgoing freight and check that all documentation, labels, and dangerous goods placards are correct.
Unload local delivery trucks,
check daily pickups, and report any issues to the team.
Pre-load trailers to maximise space and weight.
Load local delivery trucks according to schedules and time slots.
Use required safety restraints and boarding.
Report any damage to freight or equipment immediately.
About you:
Must have a valid Australian LF license (experience with long tynes is highly regarded).
At least 6 months experience in a similar role within the transport and logistics industry.
Happy to handle a variety of packages.
