Medical Receptionist – Specialist Medical Practice (Brisbane)

QPain is a private specialist pain medicine practice providing exceptional patient care across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and Rockhampton. We are committed to delivering outstanding clinical care with compassion, professionalism and efficiency.

We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at our Brisbane Head Office in Auchenflower.

Our Brisbane clinic operates Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.

We are a close-knit team of seven employees working across two locations (Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast). About You
A skilled, friendly and welcoming manner with exceptional customer service skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Outstanding organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
The ability to prioritise, multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
Advanced computer skills, including experience with Mac operating systems, Microsoft Excel and email platforms.




The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Previous experience using medical practice software.
Accurate and efficient typing skills.
Previous specialist medical reception experience (highly regarded).

Key Responsibilities
Welcoming patients and providing exceptional customer service.
Scheduling specialist consultations and managing appointment enquiries.
Coordinating specialist clinic and theatre schedules.
Organising and maintaining patient medical records.
Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence and emails.
Billing patients and processing accounts, including Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, private health insurers and third-party payers.
Maintaining a professional, efficient and welcoming reception setting.
Liaising with specialists, allied health professionals, referrers and other healthcare stakeholders.

Hourly rate of $35.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience (plus superannuation).
