Nepean Hospital is seeking compassionate, skilled and motivated Registered Nurses to join our Haematology/Oncology Ward. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high-performing multidisciplinary team delivering specialised care to patients undergoing complex treatments, including Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, and management of Haematological disorders.
Working as a Registered Nurse in the Haematology/Oncology ward, will see you deliver protected, high-quality, patient-centred Nursing care, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate Nursing care in a specialised clinical environment, support patients and their families through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery, safely administer Chemotherapy and other Oncology treatments (where trained/credentialed).




You will have a genuine passion for Cancer and /or Haematology Nursing, with excellent comminucation and interpersonal skills, who has the ability to work effectively with a multidiscplinary team.

What you will bring to the role:
Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
Demonstrated experience and clinical skill as a Registered Nurse (including completion of a new graduate year or equivalent experience working as a registered Nurse).
Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.
Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills
Demonstrated commitment to professional development
Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to work a flexible roster, day evening or night shift across all days of the week.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
