About the Role
Based in Newcastle and reporting to the Branch Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to lead and support the delivery of Chubb's fire service operations across the Newcastle and Hunter region.
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing a team of Technical Supervisors and their field-based teams, ensuring service delivery is safe, efficient, compliant, and aligned with customer expectations. You'll provide strong technical leadership across fire systems and service operations while driving operational performance, team capability, and customer satisfaction.
You'll work closely with customers, technicians, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes across service, maintenance, projects, and compliance activities. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance operational oversight with people leadership and technical expertise.
You'll be instrumental in building a positive team culture, developing leadership capability within your supervisory team, and driving continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop Technical Supervisors and their teams to create a high-performing and accountable culture.
Provide technical leadership and operational guidance across fire service and maintenance operations.
Ensure all work is delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with industry standards and customer requirements.
Drive operational efficiency, workforce planning,



and service delivery performance across the region.
Build and maintain solid customer relationships by delivering responsive and professional service outcomes.
Support financial performance through effective resource management, productivity, and cost control.
Collaborate with internal departments to support project delivery, service coordination, and business growth.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and safety leadership.
About You
Proven experience in an Operations Manager, Service Manager, or Senior Leadership role within the fire protection or related technical services industry.
Strong technical understanding of fire systems, maintenance, compliance, and service delivery.
Demonstrated experience leading supervisors, technicians, and field-based operational teams.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high service standards.
Commercially aware with experience driving operational and customer outcomes.
