Galambila Aboriginal Health Service is seeking a passionate and experienced Speech Pathologist to join our dedicated Child and Family Health team.

As our Speech Pathologist, you will have the opportunity to deliver meaningful, community-focused services while building strong relationships with children, families, schools, and partner agencies across the region.
About the Role
As a Speech Pathologist, you will assess, diagnose, and provide intervention for children and families experiencing communication, language, speech, and swallowing difficulties.
You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment to deliver holistic, culturally protected, and family-centred care.
This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and rewarding caseload while making a genuine impact on long-term outcomes for children and families within the local community.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs.
Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based therapy plans.
Provide therapeutic interventions to support communication development and functional outcomes.
Work collaboratively with families, carers, schools, early childhood services, and community stakeholders.




Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and coordinated care planning.
Provide education, guidance, and support to families and caregivers.
Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practice service delivery.
Stay informed of contemporary research and developments within Speech Pathology practice.
About You
You are a compassionate and skilled clinician who is passionate about improving outcomes for children, families, and communities.
You enjoy working collaboratively, building meaningful relationships, and delivering high-quality services that create lasting change.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
Current Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status or eligibility with Speech Pathology Australia
Demonstrated clinical experience working with children and families
Experience managing a range of communication and developmental presentations
Robust assessment, clinical reasoning, and intervention skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
A commitment to culturally safe, person-centred practice
A passion for ongoing qualified learning and development
