At J Group, we are a well-established and growing civil construction company delivering infrastructure and groundworks projects. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Site Engineer to join our growing team.

About the Role

As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering civil construction projects safely, on time, and within budget. You will be responsible for coordinating in office activities, supporting project delivery, and ensuring works are completed in accordance with design specifications and quality standards. This role will involve working across a variety of projects, including the opportunity to work on remote and regional sites, so flexibility and a willingness to work away from home when required is essential.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure work is carried out as per project plans
Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers
Interpret and implement engineering drawings and specifications




Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
Monitor project progress and prepare reports
Manage materials, resources, and site logistics
Identify issues onsite and prepare RFI’s

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
2+ years of experience in civil construction (preferred)
Robust knowledge of construction methods and materials
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with project management software is an advantage
Valid driver’s license (if required)
Willingness to work away from home on remote or regional projects as required
