As a Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, effective and dignified care to patients across a range of medical and surgical conditions.
Key responsibilities
Assessing and monitoring patients' physical and emotional health status, recording observations and reporting changes to medical staff
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to protocols
Providing direct patient care including wound dressing, cannulations and other clinical procedures
Supporting patients with activities of daily living and promoting patient comfort and dignity
Communicating effectively with patients, families and members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care
Maintaining accurate and timely patient records in compliance with regulatory requirements
Collaborating with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
Identifying and responding to patient safety concerns and adverse events
Ensuring infection control and health and safety standards are maintained at all times
What we're looking for
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Qualification in general nursing with demonstrated competency in medical and surgical nursing care
Strong clinical knowledge and practical skills in patient assessment, care delivery and monitoring
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively in a busy clinical environment
Commitment to patient-centred care and maintaining professional standards of practice
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to adapt to changing clinical demands
Previous experience in general medical or surgical nursing is highly valued
