This is a hands-on position responsible for surface preparation of structural steel and fabricated components. You will play a key role in ensuring all work meets required quality standards and deadlines.
This role is based at our Black Hill facility, featuring a state-of-the-art blast chamber, air filtration system and overhead cranes.
Key Repsonsibilities
Perform abrasive blasting (sandblasting) to prepare surfaces for coating
Ensure all work meets quality specifications and project requirements
Maintain equipment and ensure it is in good working condition
Follow safe work procedures and workplace health & safety requirements
Assist with general paint shop duties as required
Maintain a clean and organised work enviroment
Minimise material waste and use resources efficiently
Complete timesheets and required documentation
About You
Experience in sandblasting
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valuable understanding of workplace health & safety practices
Reliable, punctual, and string work ethic
